BROCKPORT, N.Y.- The College at Brockport men's soccer team defeated Hartwick College Wednesday, by a score of 3-0. With the win, Brockport moves to 10-2-2 overall record, while the Hawks fall to 0-8 on the season.

The Golden Eagles controlled ball possession for the majority of the first half, registering 14 shots in the first 45 minutes. Brockport kicked off the scoring at the 14th minute when Ayu Jeylani stole the ball from a Hawks defender and buried his eighth goal of the season. The Green and Gold continued to pressure the Hawks defenders as the half winded down, but Jeylani's goal would be the only score of the half.

The second half saw similar action to the first, with Brockport dominating ball possession at the Hawks end of the pitch. It would take a free kick at the 65th minute for Brockport to break the seal on the second half, Quinton Volpe unleashed a laser beating the Hartwick goalie top shelf. The Golden Eagles wouldn't take long to find their third of the night, two minutes later

Matthew Stefaniw, who put it past the goalkeeper for his seventh goal of the year. Brockport's goalkeeper
Joseph Romano would face five shots in the victory, picking up his first win and first shutout of the 2018 campaign.

The Green and Gold are back in action Saturday, Oct. 13 when they take on SUNY Geneseo for a 1 p.m. matchup.
