CORTLAND N.Y.- The College at Brockport women's soccer team fell to SUNY Cortland Saturday afternoon, by a score of 1-0. With the loss, Brockport is eliminated from the SUNYAC post-season, moving to a 7-10 overall record and 3-6 in conference. The Red Dragons Improve to 10-4-2 overall and 6-2-1 in conference.
The first half started with a pair of saves from Brockport's goalkeeper
Kimberly Lubanski. Lubanksi faced nine shots in the first half but was only forced to make a save on two of them. The Golden Eagles were out-chanced in the first 45 minutes 9-3.
The Golden Eagles entered the second half with a do or die attitude, having to win the half or be eliminated from the post-season. The Green and Gold came out shooting early,
Maddie Siclare fired one wide of the cage at 48:53 of the 2nd. The Red Dragons would put themselves ahead in the 58th minute, beating Lubanski on a deep ball. The lone goal would be enough to put the game out of reach for the Green and Gold.
Brockport will be back in action Tuesday, Oct. 23 for their final game of the 2018 campaign when they take on Alfred University for a 3 p.m. matchup.
