This time last year, the Golden Eagles were breaking program history after collecting their 11th win of the season in a blowout matchup against Plymouth State 66-0. Brockport hopes to have a similar dominating performance in this weekend's matchup against the Engineers, moving them one step closer on their trek back to the Final Four.

The Green and Gold are coming off of a collectively strong weekend on both sides of the ball against Framingham State. Joe Germinerio threw for 315-yards and two touchdowns, while adding one on the ground. DaQuan Hubbard and Joseph Ortiz were the dynamic receiving duo for Germinerio, Hubbard with five receptions for 159-yards and a touchdown and Ortiz with seven receptions for 81-yards. On the ground, Germinerio relied on the man power and quick feet of Jala Coad and Joe Benedict, who rushed for 128-yards collectively, with Coad adding the final points to the board for the Golden Eagles.

The explosive offense in the first half couldn't have been possible however without the impenetrable Golden Eagles defense. Brockport continuously shut down the Rams offense with help from Austin Dean, Matt Szymanski, and Matt Arita. Szymanski and Arita accounted for three interceptions for 31-yards while allowing Dean to penetrate the holes in the Rams' offensive line. Dean picked up four tackles on the day, two of which were for a loss of 15-yards and a sack for a loss of 13. With strength from all angles, the Golden Eagles were able to hold off the Rams 40-27.

In the weekend ahead, the Golden Eagles are set to face RPI for the first time since 1986. The Engineers are averaging 29 points a game while only allowing their opponents an average of 16.8 points per game.
