Tautis Poniskaitis and his six saves, they were able to hold Buffalo State at bay. The first half was a back-and-forth effort with neither team giving an inch. The second half was more of the same, Brockport leading in shots with eight.

Overtime produced the deciding goal from
Matthew Stefaniw when he crushed a one-timer on a breakaway from a previous header. Coach LaPietra was excited for his team after the huge win.
Â
"I am so proud of our performance this afternoon," noted LaPietra. "Our focus and mentality were spot on as we collectively defended throughout the match. We played very smart with possession and combination play against a pressing and athletic Buffalo State team."
