BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The College at Brockport picked up a 1-1 tie with Fredonia Saturday afternoon in a double over time matchup on senior day. The team honored seniors

Austin Butts prior to the game. The Golden Eagles overall record moves to 6-6-2 overall and 1-4-1 in conference play.
Matthew Stefaniw was the solo goal provider of the day, netting a strong pass from
Nolan Byrnes to give the Golden Eagles an early 1-0 lead. The Blue Devils didn't answer back until moments before the ninetieth minute, sending the game to overtime. Both teams remained scoreless through the first 15 minutes, with only one shot recorded by either team. The Golden Eagles offense battled to find the extra edge against the Blue Devils but ultimately neither team could find the back of the net through both overtimes.
The Golden Eagles outshot the Blue Devils 13-9 and 5-4 on goal, while forcing six total corner kicks. The team saw offensive opportunities from 10 different players, with shots by
Brett Healey, Hibbard, Byrnes, Kinsley, Hayes, Sgaraglio, Butts, Stefaniw,
AJ Sinclair and
Seamus Parker.
Romano was in the goal for the Golden Eagles, recording three saves and only one goal against in a total 110 minutes.
The Green and Gold are on the road for a conference heavy week next week, scheduled to take on Oneonta and New Paltz on Friday and Saturday.
