PITTSFORD, NY – The College at Brockport field hockey team dropped a 5-0 decision on the road at St. John Fisher College's Growney Stadium on Wednesday night. Fisher caged two first half goals and added three unanswered tallies in the second half on its way to the five goal victory. 

Brockport's record fell to 8-6 overall on the year and Wednesday night was also the first road loss of the season for the Golden Eagles.  Fisher improved to 10-3 overall on the season.

Megan McDonald got the Cardinals going in the first half as she netted two goals less than ten minutes apart. She posted the game's opening goal after a tip in front of the cage to hand the home team an early 1-0 lead at 18:42 of the first half. McDonald added her second of the night at 28:10 off an assist from Jess Snyder to give the Cardinals a 2-0 lead.

Snyder got the scoring going in the second half when she scored at 46:53.  Danila Casseri got in on the action with her first of the night and second of the year at 50:18.  Bre Socker netted her 18^th of the season at 52:34 to close out the scoring on the evening for Fisher.

Cara Fox stopped a career-high 17 shots in the cage for the Golden Eagles. Kelly Bergamo stopped three shots in the win for the Cardinals.

Brockport now has three SUNYAC games left on its regular season schedule, beginning with Oswego at home on Saturday (1 p.m.). The Golden Eagles are currently 1-2 in conference play and sit in fifth place in the conference standings heading down the final stretch of the regular season. The top four teams earn a bid into the upcoming SUNYAC Conference Tournament.
