The College at Brockport swim & dive teams travel to Ithaca College's Kelsey Partridge Bird Natatorium inside IC's Athletics and Events Center on Saturday to begin their 2019-20 campaign in a quad-meet against Ithaca, Fredonia and Buffalo State. The meet is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

The Brockport men look to continue to build off a seventh place finish (score of 285), which included one gold medalist and three bronzes, at last year's SUNYAC Championships at the Burt Flickinger Center in Buffalo, NY.
Take a Look at the Schedule: Brockport's 2019-20 schedule begins with five first half road trips to Ithaca, MCC, Potsdam, Oswego and Cortland. Brockport will then travel south to sunny Coral Spring, FL for its winter training trip January 2

th. The Golden Eagles will be excited to open the second semester at the friendly confines of the James B. Fulton Natatorium when they host consecutive home duals against Oneonta (Jan. 18
th) and Nazareth College (Jan. 22
nd). Brockport caps the regular season with one more road trip to Buffalo and one more home dual against Fredonia (Feb. 1
st). All of this is in preparation for the four day SUNYAC Championships which begin on Feb. 19
th, once again at the Flickinger Center in Buffalo. Qualifying student-athletes look forward to the NCAA Division III Championships beginning on March 18
th in Greensboro, NC. The Brockport divers will also have their sights set on the NCAA Diving Regional which begins on Feb. 28
th.
Program History: The College at Brockport introduced men's swimming and diving to the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) in 1962. Since then, the Golden Eagles have won three SUNYAC titles as a team (1963, 1964, 1966), and five Individual SUNYAC titles. The Green and Gold have had seven swimming All-Americans and one diving All-American since 1962 and 13 All-conference selections since 2004.
Meet the Coaches: Brockport's swim and dive program has been led by Head Coach
Jason Morini since 2012. Morini took over as head coach following a successful eight-year career at Misercordia University in Pennsylvania. Morini is joined on the pool deck by '18 Buffalo State graduate

Upperclassmen Lead the Way: The Golden Eagles will call upon a small but strong group of upperclassmen to lead the way this season. This group includes junior captain
Logan Gregory and classmate
Brandon Amthor, as well as senior captain
Rainer Grimme and junior
Tyler Hyde.
Amthor is FAST: Junior
Brandon Amthor is the school-record holder in the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free and 200 IM. He was also a member of the school record relay teams in the 200 medley relay, 400 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay. He accomplished the majority of these feats in his freshman campaign back in 2018 and he will look to pressure his own records this upcoming season. Amthor returns as the reigning SUNYAC co-champion in the 100 freestyle after tying Geneseo's Will Eng for first place in the finals at the 2019 championships (46.57). Amthor placed third in the 50 free with a time of 21.25 at last year's SUNYAC Championships and he also earned a bronze in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:44.02.
No Sophomore Slump Here: Sophomore
Matthew Dambra looks to build off an impressive freshman campaign that featured several performances which helped notch his name in the College's record books. Dambra ranks second all-time at Brockport after posted a time of 54.51 in the 100 back during the 400 medley relay at the SUNYAC Championships last year. He also ranks third all-time in the 200 back (1:59.73) and the 200 freestyle (1:45.62).
Gregory Setting the Pace: Junior captain
Logan Gregory looks forward to his best swim season to date after an impressive sophomore campaign in 2018-19. He currently ranks third all-time in the 100 backstroke (54.52), just behind Dambra. Gregory also ranks fifth all-time at Brockport in the 200 backstroke (2:01.42) and 10
th in the 200 butterfly (2:05.87).
A Knack for Speed: Sophomore
Thomas Knack returns to the squad for his second season in the green and gold. He ranks fourth all-time in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:01.31. He is also a standout in the individual medley, ranking fifth all-time at Brockport in the 200 IM (2:03.76) and seventh in the 400 IM (4:33.52).

Logan Gregory and
Brandon Amthor return to the pool this season after placing fourth at championships with a time of 3:34.33 last season. Three of the Golden Eagle's four members of the 200 freestyle relay return this season (Amthor, Gregory, Dambra) after posting a time of 1:27.32. Amthor, Gregory and Dambra were also a part of the school-record holding 400 freestyle relay team (3:13.10). Dambra, Knack, Gregory and Amthor also return for the 800 free relay (7:14.18).
Adding Depth: Senior captain
Rainer Grimme looks to cap his collegiate career with a banner year in the breaststroke and freestyle. Junior
Tyler Hyde and a strong sophomore class of
Kevin Kantar,
Zackery Kime and
William Tolpa also return to the squad with plenty of collegiate experience under their belts.
Deep Diving Squad: Sophomore
Mark Eaton will look to fill the shoes of 2019 NCAA Division III Diving Championships qualifier and CSCAA All-America Honorable Mention Matt Merchant. Eaton posted a strong finish in his freshman season as he registered a fifth place finish on the 3-meter board (479.75) and a seventh place finish on the 1-meter board (416.70) at the SUNYAC Championships last year. Eaton will be joined on the board by classmate
Kurt Mueller and freshman
Randy Beach.
