BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The College at Brockport women's basketball team opens up their first full weekend of play hosting their annual Tip-Off Tournament, where they welcome Alfred University, Keuka College and Medaille College to the Jim and John Vlogianitis Gymnasium. The Golden Eagles are on a two-year hot streak in the tournament, winning it all in both the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 seasons.

RIT Recap: Brockport had a standout performance at RIT on Tuesday night, picking up their first win (65-64) against the Tigers since the 2006-2007 season.

What To Expect: The last time the Golden Eagles and Alfred University met was in the 2017-2018 season in the opening game of the Tip-Off Tournament. The Green and Gold started their season on a high note, passing the Saxons 83-64 while putting up the most points the team has scored since February of the 2015-16 season. Saxons Breakdown: The Saxons had a tough start to their season, picking up a 70-63 loss to SUNY Cobleskill on Saturday afternoon. Junior guard Gillian Flint currently leads the Saxons offense, putting up 20 points in her first game of the year. Senior Jamie Wilcox has been as asset to the Saxons as well, putting up 13 points in her first outing while shooting .500 from the free throw line.
In the 2018-2019 season, the Saxons averaged 59.1 points per game (p/g), 36.9 rebounds p/g, 11 assists p/g, 10.2 steals p/g, and 16.1 turnovers p/g.
