Golden Eagles Headed to PA for Saint Vincent Tournament

BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The College at Brockport women's basketball team is back in action for the last time in 2019 at the Saint Vincent Tournament in Pittsburgh, PA on Thursday and Friday. The team currently holds a 3-4 record overall headed into the tournament where they are scheduled to take on the hosting Saint Vincent College and Hartwick College.
 
Tournament Information: The two-day event will take place in the Robert S. Carey Student Center on the campus of Saint Vincent College.

Conference Opening Weekend: The Golden Eagles are coming off of a tough SUNYAC opening weekend against Oswego and Cortland. Despite picking up two losses, the Green and Gold held the Lakers and the Red Dragons to a single digit deficit, coming within a seven and nine-point victory margin.
 
Key from Three: Julianna Taylor drove the team's scoring in both of the Golden Eagles SUNYAC matchups, combining for 49 total points of offense. The junior opened up the weekend tying her career-high 22 points and closed it recording a new career-high 27 points in game two. Taylor accounted for half of the team's offense against the Red Dragons, shooting an impressive 10-20 from the floor, four of seven from three and a perfect three for three at the line. She also posted an additional 10 rebounds, four assists, three steals and two blocks, making her a triple threat from all areas of the floor. Taylor currently ranks seventh overall in the SUNYAC in points and 10th overall in three-point percentage.
 
On the Boards: Taylor's counterpart on the leader board is sophomore Kylee Rosbrook who has been essential under the basket for the Green and Gold. Rosbrook currently leads the team with 50 total rebounds, 38 of which came on the defensive end. The sophomore is averaging 7.1 rebounds per game, ranking her 11th overall in the SUNYAC in addition to eighth overall in defensive rebounds and second overall in blocks (13). Rosbrook has also been effective for the Golden Eagles on offense as well, ranking ninth overall in field goal percentage (48.6) and 11th overall in points (89).

Hartwick College- Overall record (4-3)
 
Averages – 64.4 P/PG, .412 FG Percentage, .267 3PT Percentage, .688 FT Percentage, 40.6 R/PG, 14.6 A/PG, 10.1 S/PG, 4.6 B/PG
 
Leading Links – Maggie Kirby (So.) Guard – Kirby is averaging 12.4 points per game for 87 total points. The sophomore is shooting .476 from the floor while sinking 23 of 33 attempts at the free throw line.
 
Guliana Pritchard (So.) Forward – Pritchard is averaging 11.6 points per game for 81 total points. The sophomore is shooting .406 from the floor while sinking 18 of 20 free throw attempts and currently ranks second overall on the team in total rebounds (52) and assists (20).
 
2020 Half of the Season: After the tournament, the Green and Gold aren't back in action until the new year, where they will be on the road for back to back conference matchups against Potsdam and Plattsburgh on January 10-11.
