Pratt Named to All Tournament Team After Strong Performance Against Hartwick

LATROBE, PA – The College at Brockport women's basketball team closed out the Saint Vincent College Basketball Classic with a tough 62-50 loss to Hartwick College Friday afternoon.

Highlights:
 
  • Senior Bailey Pratt's performance against the Hawks secured her a spot amongst the SVC Women's Basketball Classic All-Tournament Team.
  • Pratt led the team with 17 points on offense, while sinking five from the perimeter. The senior also capped off the night with three rebounds, two blocks and a steal.
  • Fellow guard Julianna Taylor helped push the offensive movement as well, adding 15 points of her own while notching three rebounds and a steal.
  • The Golden Eagles had five other athletes record single digit points including Zaria McCullough (5), Allison Chiera (4), Chelsea Henry (4), Kylee Rosbrook (3) and Riqiya Harris (2).
  • Both teams put up a near even fight in the first quarter but a strong effort by the Green and Gold in the second quarter helped them secure a one-point lead at the half.
  • The Golden Eagles defense held the Hawks to extremely low numbers in the second quarter, allowing the Hawks to 1 of 15 from the floor and only five total points of offense.
  • A little extra effort by the Hawks in the second and third quarter allowed them to slowly pull away with the game, giving them a strong enough lead to secure a win.
  • Brockport closed out the afternoon shooting 38.9% from inside the perimeter, 28% from three and 33% from the line.

The Golden Eagles are off for the remainder of the year and will pick up conference play again on January 10th and 11th against Potsdam and Plattsburgh on the road.
