CORTLAND, N.Y. – The College at Brockport swimming and diving teams had a successful outing in day one of the Cortland Snowflurries Invitational, the women's team finishing second overall with 206 points and the men's team finishing fifth through event 16.
The men's team opened up the afternoon with a third-place finish in the 200-yard medley, with a time of 1:38.90. The team included
Logan Gregory,
Oliver Dragojevic,
William Tolpa and
Matthew Dambra.
The women's team then followed in similar fashion, also grabbing third place in the 200-yard medley, with a strong 1:55.43 performance by
Dee Logory,
Haley Brucato,
Bri Owen and
Kaitlin Dunning.
Logory then recorded a strong solo finish in the 100-yard backstroke, with a third-place time of 1:03.44.
The best performance of the day from the women's team came in the 800-yard freestyle relay, where the quad of
Sawyer Parker,
Nicole Orcutt, Dunning and
Hailey Rossi posted a first-place finish with a time of 8:19.35.
Mark Eaton and
Randy Beach were lights out on the board for the men in the 3-meter dive, securing first and second place respectively.
The Golden Eagles will be back in action tomorrow the day two of the invitational including the remainder of the events.
