BROCKPORT, N.Y. – The College at Brockport welcomed nonconference opponent D'Youville College to the Clark V. Whited Complex for their first home matchup of the season, posting a pair of wins.
INSIDE THE MATCHUP – 
	- The Golden Eagles swept the Spartans, 7-3 and 10-9. The teams second win came in dramatic fashion, with a walk off double in the bottom of the seventh by Morgan Flamholtz to put the Green and Gold ahead 10-9.
 
	- The Golden Eagles move to a 9-5 record overall while the Spartans fall to 3-11. 
 
HOW IT HAPPENED – 
Game 1
	- Both teams recorded a quick one, two, three out first inning, recording no runs and no hits.
 
	- Alison Missavage changed the pace of the game in the bottom of the second with a solo homerun to center field to put the Golden Eagles up 1-0.
 
	- The Spartans answered back with a solo homerun of their own in the top of the third to tie the score, 1-1.
 
	- The pitchers went to work in the proceeding innings, holding each other scoreless until the bottom of the fifth.
 
	- Aren Schwab led off for the Golden Eagles with a strong single up the middle. Tori Thuman followed with a sacrifice bunt to the left side, advancing Schwab to second.
 
	- Now at the top of the order again, Alexis Ross put her speed to the test, laying down a beautiful bunt to third base, putting the Green and Gold in a first-and-third situation with Megan Cullen up to bat.
 
	- After a steal from Ross, Cullen nailed a double to left center, picking up two RBI to move the score to 3-1.
 
	- Jessica Koneski followed suit with a single to left field, scoring Cullen to add another run. Lexi Abernathy would go in to pinch run for Koneski.
 
	- With a homerun and a walk under her belt, Missavage capitalized on her third at bat with a single to left field, scoring Abernathy, allowing her to advance to second on the throw.
 
	- The Golden Eagles up 5-1 welcomed Flamholtz to the plate as the designated hitter. The senior hit a hard ground ball to the left side, forcing an error by the third basemen.
 
	- The Spartans errors continued to spiral, as two passed balls scored Missavage from third and consequently moved Flamholtz to third.
 
	- Kacie Hubbard added an RBI of her own with a single to right center, scoring Flamholtz, giving the Golden Eagles a 7-1 lead after the fifth.
 
	- Julia Palopoli pitched a strong game, only allowing two more runs in the top of the seventh inning to secure the win 7-3. The sophomore only gave up five hits in 27 batters faced while striking out seven.
 
Game 2
 
	- The Golden Eagles found themselves at an early deficit in game two, allowing the Spartans to take a quick 6-0 lead after the first two innings.
 
	- It wasn't until the bottom of the third inning that the Golden Eagles found their groove offensively.
 
	- Mandi Lucas led things off with a single up the middle, followed by a walk by Ross.
 
	- Cullen and Danko both reached on a fielder's choice, putting Koneski at the plate with two outs.
 
	- Koneski singled down the left field line to score Cullen, giving the Golden Eagles their first run.
 
	- Missavage would join in on the fun, following with a double to center scoring Danko.
 
	- Continuously looking to work back from their deficit, the Golden Eagles put more points on the board in the bottom of the fourth.
 
	- Machala Andrews singled to third base followed by walks from Ross and Cullen, putting the Green and Gold in a bases loaded situation with two outs.
 
	- Danko added a single to right field, picking up two RBI off of Ross and Andrews, moving the score to 6-4.
 
	- The sixth inning proved to be a difficult one for the Golden Eagles defensively, as the Spartans picked up three more runs off of four hits.
 
	- Cullen and Danko tag-teamed in the bottom of the sixth to collect one more run, with only an inning left to play.
 
	- Cullen and Danko found themselves in a similar position in the bottom of the seventh; nailing back-to-back singles through the left side to give the Golden Eagles a first and second situation with two outs.
 
	- The heroics of Koneski then gave the Green and Gold a fighting chance after the junior crushed a three-run homer to close the gap to one.
 
	- By putting the ball in play hard, Missavage forced an error by the first baseman to provide a base runner.
 
	- Cami Duggan then singled up the middle to put the Golden Eagles in a first and second situation.
 
	- Flamholtz entered the game to pinch hit for the Abernathy and the solo senior would seal the deal for the Green and Gold.
 
	- Flamholtz capped off the night with a double to right center, scoring Missavage and Duggan to secure the win, 10-9.
 
KEY STATISTICS – 
 
Game 1
	- Missavage commanded the offense, going a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate while adding two runs and two RBI.
 
	- Ross and Schwab had strong outings at the plate as well, Ross closing out the game 2-for-4 with a run and Schwab completing 2-of-3 with a run.
 
	- In Cullen's solo hit of the game, the junior notched a run and two RBI.
 
	- The Golden Eagles had six different athletes puts runs on the board, including Ross, Cullen, Abernathy, Missavage, Flamholtz, and Schwab.
 
	- In the fifth inning alone, the Green and Gold accumulated six of their seven total runs and seven of their nine total hits.
 
	- Palopoli's strong performance moved her to a 4-1 record thus far on the season.
 
 
Game 2 
	- In the bottom of the seventh, the Golden Eagles put up five of their ten runs.
 
	- Freshman pitcher Megan Van Dorn picked up her second win in the circle, only giving up four hits in 5 and 1/3 innings pitched while striking out six.
 
	- Game Leaders: Danko (3-for-5, two runs and three RBI), Cullen (2-4, three runs), Koneski (2-for-5, a homerun and four RBI), Flamhotlz (1-for-1, two RBI), and Duggan (3-for-4, one run).
