BROCKPORT, NY – The nationally-ranked No. 24 Brockport men's soccer team jumped out to a 3-0 lead and never looked back on its way to a 3-1 victory over Medaille College at Bob Boozer Field on Friday night.  The Golden Eagles have now won five straight matches to improve to 5-1 on the year, while outscoring their opponents 17-2 over the course of the win streak.

Brockport's Jason Hayes put the team on his back in the first 26 minutes of the contest, netting two goals in the opening stretch to hand the home team an early 2-0 lead. Hayes's first goal was assisted by Jeff Hibbard at 15:37. His second goal was a rocket into the upper right corner following a give and go from AJ Sinclair. Hayes is now tied for second on the team with three goals this season.  Hibbard ranks second on the team with nine points this year, on three goals and three assists.

Russell Hines got the second half started in the 62nd minute when he found the back of the net to put the Golden Eagles on top 3-0.

Medaille's Mitchell Ali broke up the shut out at 86:11, to mark the first time Brockport has allowed a goal in the last three games.

Brockport outshot the visitors 14-6 on the day and also earned a 9-3 advantage in corner kicks.

Bport goalie Tautis Poniskaitis stopped three shots and earned his fourth win of the young season.
