Men's Soccer Tripped up by Otterbein

Westerville, OH – The College at Brockport men's soccer team fell to Otterbein University, 1-0, on Saturday which snapped a five-game win streak. The team is now 5-2 overall on the season.
 
After going into halftime tied at 0-0, Otterbein was able to score the first, and last, goal of the match in the 82nd minute. The home Cardinals took the 1-0 victory and improved to 5-1 overall.
 
Brockport outshot Otterbein, 15-10, in the game but was unable to find the back of the net. The team also drew three more corner kick opportunities than the home team.
 
Goalkeeper Tautis Poniskaitis made four saves in the loss. Sophomore Matthew Stephaniw put plenty of pressure on the opposing goalkeeper, firing three of his six shot attempts on goal.
 
The Golden Eagles are on the road again Sunday for a matchup with Capital University. The team looks to bounce back, as the game begins at 3 pm.
