BROCKPORT, N.Y.- Brockport women's soccer is going on a trip this weekend, starting Friday at 6 pm with a match up against Alfred University. The team will then head out to face SUNY Canton on Sunday, with a kick-off time of 1 pm.

Last Match:Â The Green and Gold is coming off a 1-2 loss to Nazareth on the road earlier in the week. Despite a late goal by
Camryn Pettit in the 78
th minute, Brockport couldn't overcome the two goals scored by the Golden Flyers.
Brylie Hapeman and
Rian McMullen were credited with assists on the goal, while goalkeeper
Morgan Lupo made nine saves in net.

Lupo's Production: Freshman goalkeeper
Morgan Lupo has had a stellar start to her college career thus far. She is 2-1 as a starter for the team in net, while recording 21 saves and one shutout. After facing 45 shots, Lupo has earned a saves percentage of .875 which is the best in the SUNYAC.

Pettit's Scoring: Freshman
Camryn Pettit is now tied for first on the team in goals and ranks second in total points with four. Pettit has now found the back of the net in two consecutive games, scoring against Houghton and Nazareth. Second on the squad with 13 shots, her aggressiveness has begun to pay off with two goals so far this year.

Alfred Scouting Report:Â The Saxons currently hold a record of 4-1, with their only loss of the season coming at the hands of D'Youville College. The team has registered three shutouts in five games and hasn't allowed more than one goal in any matches. Natalie O'Brien leads the team with 12 points on five goals and one assist. Goalkeeper Hannah Fuller has made nine saves, recording two shutouts and a .900 saves percentage.

Alfred vs. Brockport:Â The two teams met last year and saw Alfred take home the win, with the lone goal coming from a Saxon free kick in the 41
st minute. Brockport outshot the Saxons, 23-12, but the offense couldn't find the back of the net.

Canton Scouting Report:Â The Roos are 1-2 after losing two straight games to Utica and Potsdam early in the season. Their only win of the year came against Wells College in the season opener, where the team scored its only goal of the year so far. Sarah Riedel and Hanlon Crane are the only two players on the team with points, coming from a goal and an assist respectively.

Canton vs. Brockport:Â The Golden Eagles also met Canton in 2018 and captured a 5-0 victory at home. Brockport held the Roos to a single shot over the entire 90 minutes and tallied an astounding 46 shots of its own. Five different players scored in the match, with 14 different players placing a shot on goal. The women will look to put up the same type of numbers during Sunday's meeting.
What's Next:Â Brockport will have all next week to prepare for another road game at Juniata College. The match is scheduled for Saturday, September 21
st at 2 pm.
