Brockport, NY – The Golden Eagle women's tennis team was at home for Senior Day on Saturday, as they hosted Cortland for some SUNYAC play. The visiting Red Dragons took the win, 6-3, as Brockport's record moves to 5-4-1 overall and 1-3 in conference play.
 
Prior to the start of match play the team recognized its seniors, who took the courts for their final home match in a Brockport uniform. 
Elizabeth Bean, 
Phoebe Morse, and 
Emily Gross were all honored.

Linda Coleman-Lawrence got the win in second doubles, 8-3, to earn the team a point. The pairing of 
Caroline Stewart and 
Heather Phillips also won their matchup in doubles competition, getting the 8-5 victory.
 
Elizabeth Bean shined on Senior Day by also earning the squad's lone match point from singles play. She won in the fifth singles slot in just two sets by scores of 6-2, 6-1.
 
Brockport returns to action next weekend with battles against Plattsburgh, Oneonta, and New Paltz. The first match is set for 1 pm on Friday, Oct. 4
th against Plattsburgh.
