BROCKPORT, N.Y.- The College at Brockport women's soccer team (1-2) takes the field again on Saturday at 7 p.m. as they face the Houghton Highlanders (0-2). With a win this weekend the Golden Eagles will retain their undefeated status at home.

Most Recent Outing:Â Women's soccer secured a thrilling overtime victory on Wednesday, defeating St. John Fisher, 2-1, in the home opener. Goals by
Courtney Franz and
Franchesca Polcaro lifted the Green and Gold to its first win of the season. Freshman goalkeeper
Morgan Lupo made her collegiate debut in net, coming up with several big stops on the way to recording 10 saves in the win.
Julia Mascaro,
Kiley Longin, and
Brylie Hapeman all finished the contest with an assist.

Team Leaders:Â Polcaro and Longin are currently tied for first on the team in points, each with three points so far this season. Longin is tops on the team with eight total shots, including five shots on goal. Franz is second on the team with two total points, thanks to her goal against Fisher. Ellen Walepole and
Marissa Greiner are among the players with the most playing time, as both have logged in north of 260 minutes on the pitch.
Overall Statistics:Â Brockport has registered 34 total shots in three games played, firing 18 of those on goal. The Golden Eagle goalkeepers have combined for 22 total saves on the season, which is more than any other team in the SUNYAC. The team is also tied for second in the conference in corner kick attempts with 15 thus far.

The Scouting Report:Â Houghton is heading into Saturday's matchup with Brockport, 0-2, after starting their season with losses to Oswego and Geneseo. The Highlanders fell to Geneseo in the season opener, 1-3, before falling to Oswego, 1-2, in their last contest. Last year Houghton finished 6-7-3 overall, winning just one of the last five matches. Kealy DeForest and Mikayla Simons both have scored one goal each for the team, leading the way in points. Moriah Steffen and Alex Steele each have notched one assist. Goalkeeper Megan Merrifield has made 19 saves this season and holds a .792 save percentage.

When They Met Last:Â Brockport took on the Highlanders early on in the schedule last season as well. The Golden Eagles lost, 2-1, in an overtime nail biter as Houghton found the back of the net in the 94th minute. The team outshot Houghton 16-12 in the last matchup, but were unable to put the game away.

After Saturday:Â The Green and Gold will participate in a Breast Cancer Awareness game against the Nazareth Purple Flyers on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at 5 p.m. Both teams will sport pink shirts during warm-ups for the occasion to spread awareness. There will be a 50/50 raffle during the game to raise money, as well as an opportunity to donate $5 to the cause upon entrance to the game.
