Brockport, NY – The College at Brockport men's soccer team took care of business at home Friday with a dominating, 5-1, win over Clarkson University. Five different players scored in the match, as the team improves to 2-1 on the season.
In the 14
th minute, senior defender
Michael Meyers put the Golden Eagles on the board for an early 1-0 lead. Meyers' goal was the first of his collegiate career.
DJ Taylor also got in on the action, putting Brockport up 2-0 halfway through the first half, with an assistant coming from teammate
Chris Kinsley. In the 31

Zach Langelotti who put one past the keeper to secure the Green and Gold a 3-0 halftime lead.
It did not take long for the Golden Eagles to continue the offensive production once the second half got started. Less than three minutes into the final half of play,
Jeff Hibbard buried a penalty kick to put Brockport up 4-0.
A penalty kick attempt for Clarkson put them on the board, as Erick Naula scored to make the Golden Eagle lead 4-1. Another penalty kick was awarded to the Green and Gold, this time
Matthew Stefaniw did the honor. Stefaniw blasted his shot by Clarkson's goalkeeper, giving his team the final 5-1 advantage.
Senior goalkeeper
Tautis Poniskaitis made three saves in net, as Brockport has now won two in a row. Playing at home, the Golden Eagles are outscoring their opponents 10-1 so far this season. Brockport outshot Clarkson 17-5 in the game and remains undefeated at home.
The team is on the road Saturday for a non-conference matchup with Elmira College. The match will kick-off at 4 pm.
