Buffalo, NY – The SUNY Brockport swim and dive team finished up day two of the SUNYAC Championships on Thursday. The women's team currently sits in third place, while the men are sixth heading into Friday.
In the women's 200-freestyle relay, Brockport took third place with a time of 1:39.10. The relay team consisted of
Hailey Rossi,
Sawyer Parker,
Nicole Orcutt, and
Kaitlin Dunning.
Nicole Orcutt set a new school record in the 500-freestyle event, clocking in at 5:16.02 for seventh place in the finals.
The men's 400-medley relay team of Matthew Dambra, Oliver Dragojevic, Logan Gregory, and William Tolpa took fifth, setting a new school record time of 3:33.18.
Leading off the medley relay, Matthew Dambra broke the school 100-backstroke record with his time of 53.53.
The men also placed sixth with a time of 1:27.51 in the 200-freestyle relay, with a squad of Tolpa, Dambra, Gregory, and Rainer Grimme.
Kaitlin Dunning finished eighth in the 50-freestyle with a time of 24.78, while
Hailey Rossi and
Sarah Mullane took 13
th and 15
th respectively.
The women's 400-medley relay team of Rossi, Orcutt,
Dee Logory, and Brianna Owen placed fifth in the competition with a time of 4:05.70.
Lexi Foster put up a score of 361.65 in the 1-meter diving finals, coming in tenth place at the meet.
The Golden Eagles are back in the pool at 10am on Friday for the third day of the SUNYAC Championships.
