CORTLAND, NY – The SUNYAC Tournament bound SUNY Brockport women's basketball team lost on the road at Cortland, 70-50, Friday night in conference action. Freshman
Serena Sordetto continued her stellar play as she posted her first collegiate double-double. She tied her career-best effort with 11 points and also added a career-high 11 rebounds.
Brockport's record moved to 10-14 overall on the year and 7-10 in league play following the loss to the Red Dragons. The Golden Eagles, who clinched a playoff berth following Oneonta's win at Oswego on Tuesday night, will cap regular season play on the road Saturday at Oswego (2 p.m.). Brockport has earned the No. 6 seed in the conference tournament and the Golden Eagles will travel to No. 3 Geneseo on Tuesday for first round action in the SUNYAC Championships at 7 p.m.

Anna Felice chipped in with nine points of her own for the Golden Eagles. Nine different Golden Eagles registered at least two points on the evening. Sordetto's night was highlighted by a career-high seven free-throws made.
Cortland's record moved to 20-4 on the year and they also improved to 14-3 in league play. Five different players scored in double figures to lead the way for the Red Dragons.
The Golden Eagles trialed by nine points, 17-8, late in the first half before a lay-up by Taylor and a three-pointer from Pratt cut their deficit to just four, 17-13, following ten minutes of action. Brockport scored the first four points of the second quarter to knot the score at 17-17. The Golden Eagles led 24-22 following another 3-ball from Pratt at 5:53, but the home team answered with a 10-4 run to take a four point lead, 32-28, into the locker room at the half.
Cortland outscored the visitor's 20-8 in the third quarter to push its lead to double figures and the Red Dragons held a 52-36 advantage after 30 full minutes of action. The big third quarter for Cortland proved to be too much for Brockport as the home team held on in the fourth quarter and came away with a 20 point victory.
Chelsea Henry totaled six rebounds and two points on the day for the Green and Gold, while
Kylee Rosbrook added four points on 2-of-6 shooting from the floor.
