BROCKPORT, NY – The SUNY Brockport women's track & field team placed second with a score of 158.5 at the 2020 SUNYAC Indoor Championships on campus Saturday at the Special Events and Recreation Center.
Junior
Alayna Fredenburg claimed the SUNYAC crown in the women's weight throw as she posted a distance of 16.39 meters in the event. Fredenburg currently ranks 33
rd on the indoor national qualifying list (16.41m). Freshman
Sarah Crockett added a second place finish in the event with a personal best distance of 16.04 meters. Crockett currently sits in 13
th on the indoor national qualifying list after claiming the SUNYAC title in the shot put on Friday (13.65 meters).
Olivia George rounded out Brockport's podium finishers in the weight throw with a fourth place finish and a toss of 15.07 meters.
Junior
Brianna Lawless placed third in the women's 400 meter race with a personal best time of 59.41 (second all-time at Brockport).
Jennifer Metz finished fifth in the same event with a time of 59.81. Lawless also added a second place finish in the women's 200 meter dash with a time of 26.11 to take home two medals on the day.

Holly Heil and
Jennifer Metz placed sixth (2:26.06), seventh (2:28.58) and eighth (2:29.03) in the women's 800 meter finals, good for a total of 12 team points for the Golden Eagles.
Satin Holmes placed second in the 60 meter dash finals as she posted a time of 7.88. She also added a fifth place finish in the 200 meter dash with a time of 26.29. Holmes currently sits in 38
th on the 60 meter indoor national qualifying list following her time of 7.84 in Friday's prelims.
Tess Klossner placed seventh in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.68.
Abbygail Clouden placed sixth in the 3k with a time of 10:48.30 for the Golden Eagles.

Brianna Lawless placed sixth with a regional qualifying time of 4:09.41.
Halle King placed fourth in the women's long jump with a distance of 5.35 meters and she also placed third in the high jump with a personal best clearance of 1.62 meters.
Brockport returns to the track on Friday when qualifying Golden Eagles travel to Nazareth College for the 2020 All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Championships. The two day meet begins on Friday at 11 a.m. The 2020 NCAA Div. III Championships will begin on March 13
th in Winston-Salem, NC.
