ROCHESTER, NY – The SUNY Brockport men's track & field team placed fourth out of 44 teams at the 2020 All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Conference Indoor Championships hosted by Nazareth College at the Golisano Training Center on Saturday. Brockport totaled 41 team points over the course of the two day regional championship. Rowan came home the victor as it totaled 115 points for the team title.
Olivier Kothor posted a sub-seven second time of 6.99 in the men's 60 meter finals to take home third place and six team points for the Golden Eagles. Kother currently ranks 21
st on the national indoor qualifying list after his SUNYAC Championship and school record time of 6.91 last weekend.
Mike Panzarino finished the weekend third overall in the men's heptathlon as he posted a score of 4658 points.
Humberto Wallace placed fifth in the men's 3K as he posted a time of 8:37.07 and earned four team points for the Golden Eagles. Brockport's 4x200 meter relay team of
Devin Kipp,
Matthew Kilian,
Brandon Leiter and
Devon Legrair placed seventh with a season-best time of 1:32.23.
Devon Legrair also placed ninth in the men's 400 meter race with a time of 50.92, while
Tony DeYoung placed ninth in the men's weight throw with a distance of 16.22 meters for the Golden Eagles. DeYoung remains as the top ranked thrower in all of Division III in the men's shot put (17.86 meters).
Brockport will now await its individual NCAA Division III Championship qualifiers. This year's NCAA Championship will take place on March 13-14 at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, NC.
