Box Score The SUNY Brockport women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision on the road at SUNY Plattsburgh on Friday night. The Golden Eagles held the Cardinals scoreless until the 70th minute when Emily Frodyma netted what proved to be the game-winner off an assist from Allison Seidman.
Brockport (6-7-2, 2-3-1 SUNYAC) returns to action on the road at SUNY Potsdam for another key SUNYAC matchup at 1 p.m. Plattsburgh improved its record to 9-2-2 overall and they are now 6-1 in league play.
Plattsburgh held a 1-0 lead in the 82nd minute when the Cardinals added an insurance goal from the foot of Melanie Winters to secure the SUNYAC victory. Lauren Velleca and Catrina Maltes were each credited with an assist on Plattsburgh second goal of the contest.
Plattsburgh outshot Brockport 15-7 on the afternoon. Four of Brockport's seven shots were on goal. Plattsburgh also earned a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Guliana Parisi stopped four shots in goal for Brockport, while Julia Ennis made all four saves in a shut out for the home team.
At the time of this release, Brockport has seven points in the conference standings and currently sits in sixth place in the standings. Plattsburgh is in first place with 18 points.
