Geneseo, NY – The SUNY Brockport men's soccer team fell to Geneseo on the road Saturday, 4-0, in a SUNYAC matchup. Brockport's record is now 4-4-1 overall and 0-3 in the SUNYAC, while Geneseo improves to 4-4-2 and 1-2.
The hosting Knights would strike early on and keep their foot on the gas throughout the opening half. Geneseo went up 1-0 just past the eight-minute mark and then found two more scores before halftime.
Brockport trailed 3-0 at the half, despite only being outshot 6-4 in the first 45 minutes of action. The squad also earned three corner kick opportunities compared to just one by the home team.
As the second half began Geneseo would find another quick score to go up 4-0 with well over 30 minutes remaining in regulation. The shots and corner kicks were even at 4-4 and 2-2 respectively in the second. The Green and Gold were unable to find the back of the net in this one however, falling on the road.

Andrew Taylor made two saves in the match, playing the full 90 minutes in net.
Ryan Hike, Eren Aydin, Ariel Samoohy, and Stefen Nikolic all scored for Geneseo in the win. Adam Astarita, Justin Arilotta, Liam Mulderig, and Hike all earned an assist with their efforts. Goalkeeper Will Price made three saves on his way to recording the shutout.
The Golden Eagles are on the road next weekend for two more SUNYAC matchups. They take on Oswego, Friday at 4 pm, and Cortland, Saturday at 1 pm.
