Geneseo, NY - The Brockport field hockey team closed out its regular season on Wednesday afternoon in a 4-1 loss to SUNYAC opponent Geneseo by a score of 4-1.

Bailey Lazore scored the lone goal in the game for the Golden Eagles with an assist by
Katelynn Mello.

Maggie Phipps tallied the first point of the game for the Knights four minutes into the contest with an assist from Emma Fon. Then Golden Eagles quickly answered on Lazore's goal three minutes after the opening goal at the the 7:02 mark of the game.

At the 11:44 mark, Sadie Mitchell would score the deciding goal in the contest to put the Knights up 2-1 before goals were scored by both Katrina Clare and Maggie Phipps of the to give Geneseo the 4-1 victory over the Golden Eagles in its season finale.

Katie Ziemba led the team in shots as she tallied two shots on goal for the Green and Golden.
Emma Acevedo's heroics this season stepping in at a position never played before was the talk of the season. Against Geneseo Acevedo made a tally of nine saves in 60-minutes in goal.

With her assist against Geneseo,
Katelynn Mello improved her career high assist number to 18 sitting in third place all tike for the Golden Eagles and just one assist shy of tying for second place.

Brockport finished the season with a SUNYAC record of 2-4, overall record of 7-8 overall record split of a 3-5 home record and 4-3 record on the road.
