Brockport Dominates at Home Multi & Invitational

The SUNY Brockport men's and women's track & field teams hosted the Brockport Multi & Invitational at Eunice Kennedy Shriver Stadium on Sunday.  The competition will come to a close with the completion of the multi events on Monday. 

Sophomore Matthew Jackson moved up to 13th on the outdoor national qualifying list with his winning throw of 54.08m in the hammer throw.  Elijah Washington now ranks 15th nationally after his second place toss of 53.84m, while Matt Faulise came in third with a throw of 51.19 meters. 

Mike Panzarino currently sits in second place in the men's decathlon after day one with 3157 points.  He placed second in the 100 meter dash with a time of 11.91 and also added a second place finish in the 400 meter dash with a time of 52.39.  He finished second in the long jump with a distance of 6.46m and third in the shot put with a throw of 10.22m.  He added a fourth place finish in the high jump with a clearance of 1.76m. 

Taj Shaw nearly broke his own personal record in the men's triple jump as he posted a winning distance of 14.30 meters.  He has now moved up to 11th on the outdoor national qualifying list.  Shaw also won the high jump with a clearance of 1.85 meters. 

Egypt Page was the top finisher in the men's long jump with a distance of 6.91m, while Brandon Leiter placed second in the same event with a distance of 6.48m. 

Freshman Alden Cayea won the men's 3000m steeplechase with a time of 10:28.39. Blake James won the men's 110m hurdles with a time of 16.58. Devon Legrair placed second in the men's 400m race with a time of 50.99. 

Matthew Kilian was the top finisher in the men's 100 meter dash as he posted a time of 11.55. 

Jack Brundage placed second in the javelin with a throw of 43.55m, while Elijah Washington came in third with a toss of 37.79m. 

Art Jordan was the top finisher in the men's discus after his throw of 44.72m.  Tony DeYoung added a victory in the men's shot put with a throw of 15.04m, while Jordan placed second in the shot put with a distance of 15.00m.
