The SUNY Brockport men's and women's track and field teams competed on Friday afternoon in the first day of the Roundtable Invitational hosted by Geneseo.

Along with Brockport and Geneseo the meet also featured the University of Rochester, Nazareth, St. John Fisher, Fredonia, Rochester Institute of Technology and Division I SUNY University of Buffalo.

Picking up where he left off from last weekend
Tony DeYoung claims his rightful throne at the top of the podium in the shot-put event with a first place throw of 15.73 meters. Right beside him finishing in second place was
Art Jordan with a result of 15.48m. Out of 25 entrees Brockport finished with five men in the top 10.

In the Men's Discuss event, DeYoung finished in second place (48.12m) to that of D1's SUNY UB's Samuel Wray. Jordan (46.96m) and
Devin Kipp (43.69m) finished the day in fourth and fifth place.

In the Hammer Throw event Brockport managed to also claim five place finishers in the top ten categories with
Matthew Jackson (51.12m) and
Elijah Washington (50.83m) coming in at third and fourth place.

Egypt was the top long jumper on the Men's side having taken home first with a mark of 7.19m.
Chanyce Powell also had her fair share at a medal as she jumped her way to a first-place finish with a mark of 11.03m in the triple jump. Teammate Mia Montgomery followed close behind and finished in second with a leap of 10.68m.

Brandon Leiter posted a clearance of 1.81m as he came in third place in the high jump.
Carson Swierski tied for fourth with a mark 1.76 m. on the women's side Halle King leaped her way to fifth place with a clearance of 1.55 followed by teammate Sarah Killip with a measurement of 1.50m.

On the track side of the day the team of
Olivier Kothor,
Devon Legrair,
Egypt Page and
Matthew Kilian took home first in the Men's 4x100m with a time of 42.33 seconds.

Kothor wasn't just able to take home one piece of gold on the day adding to his collection a first-place finish in the 100-meter dash having sprinted his way to a 10.81 second finish having beaten 21 other competitors. Of those 21 Killian claimed a spot on the podium with a time of 11.32 seconds to go home fifth on the day.

Brianna Lawless took a step onto the stairs as well having claimed fifth in the women's 100-meter dash out of 26 other competitors with a time of 12.86 seconds.

The Golden Eagles will travel back to Geneseo tomorrow for day 2 of the Geneseo Roundtable Invitational with festivities starting at 1pm.
