The SUNY Brockport track & field program hosted the Brockport Invitational at Eunice Kennedy Shriver Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Art Jordan had another big day in the throwing events for the Golden Eagles. He was the top finisher in the discus with a toss of 45.37m. Jordan also added a personal best throw of 15.79m in the shot put to place first. His toss should land him in the top 20 nationally.
Egypt Page nearly matched his season best and won the men's long jump with a distance of 7.28m.
Taj Shaw placed third in the long jump and missed out on a PR by just .01m as he posted a leap of 6.93m.
Devon Legrair won the men's 100 meter dash with a time of 11.36, while
Mike Panzarino won the 110 meter hurdles with a time of 15.92.
Olivier Kothor was the top finisher in the 200 meter dash with a time of 22.78.
Devin Kipp placed third with a personal best time of 23.01.
Marius Sidlauskas and Humberto Wallace placed third and fourth in the 800 meter race. Sidlauskas shattered his PR with a time of 1:57.73, while Wallace added a time of 1:58.83. Freshman
Derek Hutchings placed second in the 5k with a time of 16:31.94.
Brockport's 4x100m relay team of
Matthew Kilian,
Olivier Kothor,
Devon Legrair and
Egypt Page placed first and nearly matched their season-best with a time of 42.26.
Tony DeYoung placed second in the shot put with a throw of 15.60m, while
Elijah Washington placed fourth with a throw of 14.09m.
Elijah Washington (53.24),
Matthew Jackson (52.83m) and
Matthew Faulise (52.12m) placed second, third and fourth in the hammer throw, respectively.
Brockport returns to the track on Friday when they travel to SUNY Cortland for day one of the SUNYAC Championships.
