Rochester, NY – The SUNY Brockport men's track and field team won the All Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference Championship on Thursday, beating 33 other teams with a total of 84 points.
 
The Golden Eagles won the last AARTFC Outdoor Championships, held in 2019, giving them back-to-back regional titles.
 
With a personal-record time of 3:52.75 in the men's 1,500-meter, Marius Sidlauskas took first place in the region for the event.
 
Devin Kipp's discus toss of 49.07 meters marks a new personal-best in the event and earned him second place. Teammate Art Jordan placed third in the discus with a distance of 46.63 meters.
 
Tony DeYoung finished second in the shot put with a throw of 16.39 meters. Matt Faulise's distance of 15.09 meters in the shot put earned him fourth place and set a new personal-best for the event.
 
Art Jordan's throw of 14.93 meters was good for sixth place in the men's shot put, while teammate Elijah Washington placed ninth with a toss of 14.06 meters.
 
Olivier Kothor scored eight points for the men's squad with his second-place time of 10.70 in the 100-meter dash finals. Devon Legrair ran a personal record time of 22.18 in the 200-meter dash, earning fifth place.
 
Next for the Golden Eagles is the NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships next week, starting on May 27^th. Individuals must qualify to compete on the national stage.
