Page Wins the Long Jump National Title!

Senior Egypt Page won his first NCAA Division III National Outdoor Track & Field Championship title after posting a first place leap of 7.42m to win the long jump national crown on Thursday at Irwin Belk Track at North Carolina A&T State University. He is now the second men's outdoor national champion in program history. He is Brockport's first men's outdoor national title winner since Mark Lineweaver won the Decathlon back in 1975.

Page is the fifth national outdoor champion in program history (men's & women's) and he is the ninth champion overall between men's and women's indoor and outdoor programs.

He qualified for the finals after posting a leap of 7.19m in the preliminaries.  He then took home the national crown after tying his own outdoor record with a leap of 7.42m on his first attempt in the finals.

Page entered the outdoor national championships as the fourth ranked long jumper in the nation after qualifying with a leap of 7.40m.

Brockport still has three student-athletes left to compete at NCAA's.  Sarah Crockett will participate in the shot put on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Tony DeYoung will throw in the shot put at 2 p.m. on Saturday and Alayna Fredenburg will compete in the hammer throw on Saturday at 2 p.m. as well.
