PLATTSBURGH, NY – The SUNY Brockport Men's Soccer team earned its fourth straight conference win of the season over Plattsburgh State on Saturday afternoon by a score of 2-1. The Golden Eagles now have the most points in the conference where with a 4-0 SUNYAC record of 12 points.
Team Stats: The Golden Eagles recorded 10 shots, four on goal, while making three saves, taking four corner kicks, and receiving 14 fouls in the match. The Cardinals meanwhile recorded 11 shots, four being on goal while making two saves, taking 10 corner kicks, and receiving 15 fouls in the match. Plattsburgh also received a yellow card at the 55:29-minute mark of the match.
Goal Recap: Matthew Stefaniw and
Russ Domm scored the Golden Eagles' two goals in the match to help give Brockport the win.
Warren Banks assisted both Stefaniw and Domm with their goals. Trailing 1-0 in the second half, Stefaniw tied the game up at the 56:16 minute mark of the game. just under 10-minutes later,
Russ Domm scored his team-leading fifth goal and third game-winning goal of the season.
Shot Summary: Russ Domm recorded five shots in the contest, the most of any player on either team.
Warren Banks and
Brady Reinagel each recorded two-shot as well while Stefaniw's only shot of the game came in the form of his goal.
