Brockport NY - The SUNY Brockport men's soccer team remains undefeated in SUNYAC play, after a 2-0 win at home over Fredonia on Wednesday. Brockport is now 7-1-4 overall and a perfect 5-0 against conference opponents after winning its fifth match in a row.
After a scoreless first half, the Golden Eagles took over the game in the second half with goals from
Max Voyer and
Russ Domm. Voyer struck first for the squad at the 48:02 mark in the match, with
Matthew Stefaniw on the assist. Domm notched his team-leading sixth goal of the year later in the half to seal the win, with the assist coming from
Brady Reinagel at the 72:00 mark.
Goalkeeper
Andrew Taylor came up with three saves on the way to a clean sheet. Taylor extends his SUNYAC-leading total of shutouts to six on the season.
Brockport fired off a total of 16 shots, which included nine shots on goal. Fredonia was only able to get off six shots, placing three on frame.
The Golden Eagles will host the #16 Oneonta Red Dragons this Saturday, October 8
th. The game will start at 12pm on Dr. Linda Arena Field in Brockport, NY.
