Brockport, NY – SUNY Brockport's women's soccer team takes on SUNY Cortland for the final conference game of the regular season. The match is scheduled for a 1pm start on Saturday, October 22

Last Time Out: Brockport was at home on the Dr. Linda Arena Field this past weekend for the final home match of the season. The team took on the New Paltz Hawks, falling by a final score of 2-0. The Green and Gold is now 4-7-3 overall and 3-4-1 in the conference.
Winding Down: Following the weekend, Brockport has just two more games on the regular season schedule. This weekend the squad faces off against Cortland on the road. This will mark the last SUNYAC matchup of the season. Then the regular season will conclude on Wednesday next week against Nazareth.
Points Leaders: Both
Kiley Longin and
Franchesca Polcaro are tops on the team with four points, as each have scored two goals. Brockport's two leading scorers have also come up clutch with one game-winning goal apiece. Freshman
Kaleigh Pettit is next on the team with three points, scoring one goal and assisting on one score.
Sophia DeAngelo and
Julia Mascaro both have two assists to lead the squad.
In Net: Kayla Usborne has started all but one match for the Green and Gold this season. The senior goalkeeper has three shutouts to her name and has teamed up with
Madeline McCrosson for one combined shutout. Usborne owns a .717 saves percentage and has totaled 38 saves this year.
SUNYAC Picture: With SUNYAC play ending on Saturday, there are only three teams that have clinched a spot in the postseason. Cortland, Geneseo, and New Paltz are in, while Buffalo State, Oneonta, and Fredonia are officially out. That leaves Plattsburgh, Oswego, Potsdam, and Brockport to battle for the final three spots to get into the SUNYAC Tournament.
Meet the Red Dragons: Cortland is at the top of the conference with an 11-1-3 overall record and a 7-0-2 mark in the SUNYAC. Currently on a four-game win streak, the Red Dragons locked up the number one seed for the conference tournament after defeating Oneonta, 6-0. #16 Jaden Galluzzo leads the team and the SUNYAC with 30 total points on 13 goals and four assists. Goalkeeper #99 Kristen Spendal has made 44 saves for a .863 saves percentage this season.
