Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport women's soccer team heads on the road for its regular season finale, as Brockport visits Nazareth for a non-conference game. Kickoff is at 4pm on Wednesday, October 26
th at Golden Flyer Stadium in Rochester, NY.
Last Time Out: The Golden Eagles ended their SUNYAC regular season schedule on October 22
nd, when they visited top-seeded Cortland. They fell to the Red Dragons, 2-0, however still clinched their third straight SUNYAC tournament appearance. The Golden Eagles are currently 4-8-3 on the season and 3-5-1 in the SUNYAC.
Points Leaders: Kiley Longin and
Franchesca Polcaro lead the squad with four points each, as both players have two goals this year.
Kaleigh Pettit is close behind with three points on one goal and one assist.
Sophia DeAngelo and
Julia Mascaro are tied for tops on the team with two assists.
Lucy Crounse and
Maryalice Skutnik both have one score, while
Emily Maczka has one assist.
Between the Pipes: Senior
Kayla Usborne has started 14 games for the Golden Eagles this year. She has posted a .738 save percentage with a 1.32 GAA and three individual shutouts. Freshman
Madeline McCrosson has started one game and played in five, combining with Usborne for a shutout. Usborne has a total of 48 saves on the year.
About Nazareth: The Golden Flyers come into this game with a record of 5-3-7. Offensively the team is led by junior Alexandra Skoda, who has five goals and an assist in 12 games. Between the pipes, sophomore Annika Monfort has led the way, posting a .861 save percentage and .93 GAA, with five shutouts and two combined shutouts. Nazareth is currently second in the Empire 8, with one conference game remaining.
Coming Up: No. 6 Brockport heads to No. 3 New Paltz on Saturday, October 29th for the SUNYAC Tournament First Round. The match is scheduled to start at 2pm in New Paltz, NY.
