Brockport, NY- The SUNY Brockport women's soccer team will hit the road again this week for another pair of SUNYAC match ups. On Wednesday, October 5
th, the women will play Fredonia State at 7pm at University Stadium in Fredonia, NY. On Saturday, October 8
th the team will travel to play Oneonta at 1pm on the Red Dragon Field.
Week Recap: The Golden Eagles defeated Buffalo State on Wednesday, September 28
th at home, 1-0.
Franchesca Polcaro hit a strike in the upper left corner of the net to beat the Buffalo St. goalkeeper for the game-winning goal. Polcaro's first score of the season came off of an assist from teammate
Emily Maczka. The late goal in the second half would be the only score of the match, resulting in the victory for the Green and Gold.
The team then fell to Plattsburgh State on Saturday, 2-0.

Kiley Longin recorded shots for the Golden Eagles.
Kayla Usborne and
Madeline McCrosson both spent 45 minutes in the net. Usborne recorded one save and allowed one goal in the first half. McCrosson recorded two saves and allowed one goal in the second half of the game. Brockport's record now sits at 3-5-2 overall and 2-2 in the SUNYAC.
Shots in the SUNYAC: Brockport currently sits tied with Oswego for fourth place in the conference with six points.
Kiley Longin cracks the top ten for those leading the conference in shots, sitting in seventh place with 25.
Emily Maczka just misses the top 25, sitting tied for 30
th with 13 shots this season. Longin also cracks the top 25 in the conference for shots on goal, tied for 13
th place with 10 shots on goal.
Brylie Hapeman is tied for first in the conference when it comes to shots on goal percentage with 1.00%.
Lucy Crounse slips through the top 25 in 22
nd place with a .833% shots on goal percentage.
Looking at the Blue Devils: Fredonia State is 2-6-2 overall and 0-4 in the SUNYAC going into Wednesday's game. The team has recorded a total of 11 goals and averages 7.3 shots a game. The Blue Devils' two leading scorers are sophomore Brianna Grazen and freshman Katie Sellers, both with two goals. They have only received one yellow card this season through ten games. The Blue Devils have three goalies, but Junior Sabrina Suriani gets the most amout of playing time with 818:57 minutes this season. She has given up 16 goals and has a goal against average of 1.76 a game. She's made 67 saves this season and has a .807% save percentage.
Looking at the Red Dragons: Going into the week, Oneonta is 2-5-1 overall and 0-2-1 in the SUNYAC. The team has recorded five goals this season all by different players and averages nine shots a game. The team has only received one yellow card and one red card this season. The Red Dragons' only goalie, Claire Lepper, has spent 720:00 minutes in net this season. She has allowed 13 goals and made 50 saves. She averages 1.63 goals against and has a save percentage of 0.794%.
