Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport women's basketball season has two more conference games on the schedule for the upcoming weekend. Brockport will play Oswego on the road on Friday, December 2
nd and then host Cortland on Saturday, December 3
rd.
 
Last Time Out: Earlier this week, Brockport bounced back on the road against Buffalo State. The team defeated the Bengals, 71-63, to open SUNYAC play with a victory. Brockport benefitted from four double-digit scorers in the game and received career-highs from 
Anna Lee (14pts), 
Juan Brown (13pts), and 
Brianna Cordell (8pts). The Golden Eagles improved to 2-2 overall and 1-0 in the conference.
 
Leading Scorers: Anna Felice is the top scorer for the squad so far this year, averaging 11.0 points a game. With 12 points against Buffalo State, she has hit double-digits in three of the first four games. Felice is doing damage at the free throw line, shooting 22-for-25 or 88% at the stripe. 
Zairea Hannah is close behind as the second leading scorer for Brockport. She is nearly averaging a double-double, posting averages of 9.8 points and 10.0 rebounds a game.
 
Trending Up: Juan Brown made the first start of her college career against Buffalo State, as her production continues to increase. She finished the game with a career-high 13 points, improving upon the previous career-best of 11 points she put up last game. So far this season Brown has increased her scoring output every game, currently averaging career-highs of 9.0 points and 6.5 boards a night.
 
Impact Performances: In the win over Buffalo State, 
Anna Lee had the best performance of her collegiate career so far. She posted career-bests of 14 points, five rebounds, three steals, and matched her career-high with five assists. 
Brianna Cordell stepped up that night as well for her best game since joining the Green and Gold this season. Cordell finished with career-highs of eight points, seven boards, and three blocks in just 12 minutes of work.
 
Scouting Oswego: The Oswego State Lakers head into the weekend undefeated at 7-0 overall and 1-0 in the SUNYAC. They most recently defeated Fredonia at home, 76-66, for the first step into conference play. #24 Karleigh Leo leads a group of five double-digit scorers for Oswego, averaging 19.5 points a game. The junior guard scored 23 points last game, and has broken 20 points in three games already this season. The Golden Eagles have defeated Oswego in three consecutive meetings, and have won seven of the last eight matchups.
 
Looking at Cortland: After beating Geneseo, 82-61, the Cortland Red Dragons improved to 4-1 overall and 1-0 in the conference. They have now won four straight after losing the season opener. #5 Emily Morano is the leading scorer for Cortland, averaging 16.2 points per game. She is shooting 55.4% from the field, 47.8% from long range, and 72.7% at the foul line. The Red Dragons won both of the matchups with Brockport last season.
