Brockport, NY – At 9-9 overall and 4-8 in the SUNYAC this season, the SUNY Brockport women's basketball team looks to get back above .500 at home on Friday. The team welcomes Geneseo to The Vlog for a 5:30 pm tip-off.
 
Weekend Split: The Green and Gold played two home games last weekend, splitting the set of SUNYAC matchups. The action got started with Plattsburgh State, as Brockport snagged a much-needed win with a final score of 50-43. The next day the squad came up just short on a last second shot to tie the game, falling to Potsdam by a score of 50-53.
 
Road Trip Coming Up: Following this Friday's home contest against Geneseo, the Golden Eagles will play their next four games on the road. The trip away from home begins next weekend with games at Potsdam on Friday and Plattsburgh on Saturday. On Tuesday, February 15^th the team heads out to face Fredonia. Then the final game of the road trip is set for Friday, February 18^th against the Oswego State Lakers.
 
Winding Down: The regular season is beginning to come down to its final stretch of games for the 2021-22 season. There are just six games remaining on the docket, as Brockport will play two at home and four on the road. The final regular season contest is scheduled for Saturday, February 19^th at home against Buffalo State. Every game matters as the squad fights to get back to the SUNYAC Tournament.
 
SUNYAC Standings: Sitting at eighth in the conference standings, Brockport is currently on the outside looking in as the postseason approaches. At 4-8 in the SUNYAC, the squad has some work to do to fight for a spot in the conference tournament, which begins on February 22^nd. The full SUNYAC Standings includes: 1. Cortland (11-0), 2. Against Geneseo: This will be the second meeting with Geneseo this season, as Brockport looks for payback after a close loss last time. Kylee Rosbrook was fantastic with 20 points and 17 rebounds against the Knights earlier in the year, but it was not enough as the team came up short, 52-49. They are 11-8 overall and 8-5 in the SUNYAC this season and have won four in a row heading into Friday's contest.
 
Next Weekend: The Golden Eagles begin their four-game road trip next weekend with a pair of games. They take on Potsdam for a 5:30 pm tip-off on February 11^th before heading to Plattsburgh on Saturday for a 2 pm start.
