Brockport sophomore jumper Josh Jeziorski placed 16th in the long jump at the NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships at the JDL Fast Track in Winston-Salem, North Carolina Friday.
Jeziorski, making his second career NCAA appearance, posted a jump of 6.75m on his third and final attempt of the day to earn 16th out of 20 competitors. His first attempt was 5.10m and his second attempt was 5.84m. Jeziorski qualified for nationals with a season-best jump of 7.10m at the RIT Invitational in February.
He was the SUNYAC Champion in the long jump this season after posting a leap of 6.88m at the SUNYAC Indoor Championships host by Brockport in late February. He also placed fifth at regionals last weekend with a leap of 6.81 meters. Last outdoor season at NCAA's he posted a jump of 6.70m.
Five more Golden Eagles will compete at Nationals on Saturday.
