AUBRURNDALE, FL -The SUNY Brockport Golden Eagles (6-2) defeated the Wisconsin-Superior YellowJackets in each of the seven inning doubleheader games on Wednesday afternoon. The Golden Eagles were victorious in game one by a score of 21-2 and won game two 7-0 outscoring Wisconsin-Superior 28-2 between both games.

Batting Summery
12 different Golden Eagles recorded hits in game one with five different batters recording extra base hits including
Zach Eldred who hit his first career home run.

Zach Eldred each had Multiple hits in game while Voight, Eldred,

Jason Mansell each recorded multi base hits. Eldred's extra base hit came from a two run home run, the first of his collegiate career.

Four different Golden Eagles saw innings on the mound as
Cooper Meldrim got the start going three scoreless innings allowing two hits and punching out eight batters. With
Ryan Peters (1-0) earning the win, he went one inning giving up one hit and striking out three batters. Matt Denatale,
Michael Heilig and
Ryley O'Connell each managed to get an inning on the bump as well. Between the four different pitches they combined for 16 total punchouts in the game.

The Golden Eagles took a big lead early in the game taking a big eight run lead in the top of as the team batted around the lineup getting four earned runs.

Brockport kept the bats hot exploding for another five run innings in the second to give the Green and Gold the 13-0 lead in the second.
Ryan Voight got the inning started with a double out to right center field and would later score on a wild pitch. The team would go on to bat around the order again in only two innings. The team would score five runs on one hit.

The Golden Eagles would score three more runs to pull out to a 16-0 lead as
Zach Eldred,
Zach Goldberg and
Nick Ianniello would enter the game as pinch hitters. The team recorded a total of three runs, four hits on zero errors.

With the three pinch hitters Brockport staying in the game,
Brian Tietjen,

Logan Wing would enter the game in the bottom of the third in the field and stay to grab at bats latter on.

The Golden Eagles would go run less in the fourth and fifth innings but get back on the board in the sixth. With
Frank Vanzillotta getting on base through a single to center field,
Zach Eldred would record the first home run of his collegiate career on a deep two run shot to right center field to give the Golden Eagles an 18-0 lead over Wisconsin-Superior. Following a pair of walks,
Jason Mansell would get an RBI after driving in
Sam Law on a double to right field to make it a 19-0 ball game. Brockport would get three runs on three hits to end the inning.

7th Inning
Zach Goldberg started off the inning with a single to left field with
Nick Ianniello singling to left field for the first hit of his collegiate career three nights after striking out the side in his collegiate pitching debut. Vanzillotta would drive in Goldberg on a single with
Sam Law later recording and sacrifice fly to score Ianniello to make it a 21-0 lead heading into the bottom of the inning where Brockport would give up two runs to make the final score of the game 21-2.

Batting Summery
Tom Kretzler went 2-2 in game two scoring two runs and two RBIs in the teams 7-0 shutout victory to earn the double header sweep.
Jake Sisto went 2-3 with one run while
Matt O'Dair,
Ryan Voight,
Ryan Mansell, and
Ryan Mroczka each recorded. Mansell's hit came from a moonshot homerun.

Both of Sisto's hits came from doubles with O'Dair hitting a double for his only hit of the game.

Michael Spulnick swiping a bag as well.

Pitching Summery
Jake Jempty (1-0) earned his first win of the season as the junior transfer from Cortlandt Manor went five scoreless innings throwing three strikeouts while only giving up four hits through 19 batters.
Keegan Jarvais and
Zach Eldred each threw one inning in the game. Jarvais recorded three outs on four batters on one walk while Eldred struck out the side to close the game out.

The Green and Gold scored early once again as a hit from
Tom Kretzler drove in
Matt O'Dair for the first run of the double header. Kretzler would eventually round the bases scoring off a dropped third strike wild pitch during
Jake Sisto's at bat to score. With Sisto on Base
Ryan Mansell hit the ball deep over the right field fence for his first home run of the season to drive in two runs to make it a 4-0 ballgame. Brockport recorded four runs, two hits and one runner left on base.

Nick Ianniello recorded three straight strikeouts Sunday night against Stevenson University.
