ROCHESTER, NY – The SUNY Brockport men's soccer team (0-0-1) played at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) (0-0-1) on Thursday night with each team scoring one goal late in the game to make it a 1-1 final score.
Team Stats: The Golden Eagles outshot RIT 13-to-10 while recording seven shots on goal compared to RIT's three shots on goal. RIT received more corner kicks in the game with six to Brockport's two corner kicks while RIT also received seven more fouls than the Green and Gold with 22 total fouls.
Scoring Summary: RIT scored late in the game at the 76:30 mark with a shot inside the box to pull the Tigers ahead 1-0. With Brockport trailing and what looked like to be the team's first loss of the season, with 30 seconds left in the game, Finger Lakes Community College transfer and Sophomore,
Russ Domm came in clutch for the Green and Gold in his first game, scoring off a cross from
Matthew Stefaniw just inside the top of the goalie box to tie the game up 1-1 before time expired to end the game 1-1.
Shots: Russ Domm had the most shots for Brockport with a total of four with three shots on goal. along with Domm,
Josh Fitzpatrick,
Matthew Stefaniw,
Julian Castellanos, and
Seamus Parker all recorded shots in the game for the Green and Gold.
Goalie Stats: Sophomore
Andrew Taylor spent the full 90:00 minutes in goal for Brockport as the keeper only needed to make two saves while allowing one goal
