Brockport Remains Undefeated in SUNYAC Play with Shutout Win Over Buffalo State

Buffalo, NY – The SUNY Brockport men's soccer team shutout Buffalo State on the road Wednesday night, 3-0. Brockport has now won three in a row, improving to 5-1-4 overall and 3-0 in SUNYAC competition.
 
Seamus Parker got the action going early with a goal less than six minutes into the match. Parker notches his second of the season, with Matthew Stefaniw on the assist to put Brockport up 1-0.
 
Later in the first half, Warren Banks filled his name in on the scoresheet with an unassisted score at 27:27. Despite being outshot by the Bengals, 11-8, in the opening half the Golden Eagles entered halftime with a 2-0 lead.
 
With time running out for Buffalo State, Russ Domm was able to put the game out of reach with a late goal. Alex Rivara assistsed Domm on the score at 84:13, providing the Green and Gold with the final 3-0 win.
 
Andrew Taylor recorded his fifth clean sheet of the season in net for the Golden Eagles. Taylor turned away all eight shots that were on target in the shutout victory.
 
The Bengals drop to 3-4-2 overall and 0-2-0 in conference play. Remaining undefeated at 3-0 in the SUNYAC, Brockport sits at the top of the standings heading into the weekend.
 
The Golden Eagles are on the road Saturday for another SUNYAC matchup. They travel to take on the Cardinals from Plattsburgh State on October 1st for a 1pm start.
