Brockport, NY- The SUNY Brockport women's soccer team will host University of Rochester, Wednesday September 7
th at 4pm at the Linda Arena Field in Brockport, NY.
Weekend Recap: The women battled out an action packed 90 minutes with Fisher, resulting in a 0-0 tie. Brockport now sits with a 0-1-1 on the season, while St. John Fisher moves to 1-0-1. Both teams ended the game with 13 fouls. Two yellow cards were given to the Cardinals in the second half as the physical game continued in the last 30 minutes. Brockport outshot Fisher in the second period 8-6, yet both goalies came out of the period with four saves.
Usborne Leads the Way: Kayla Usborne spent a total of 90 minutes in the net this weekend saving five shots on goal. In two games Usborne gave up one goal and sits at a comfortable sixth in the conference for goals against average. She is tied with Julia Ennis from Plattsburgh in saves, both sitting with eight.
Looking at the Yellow Jackets: The University of Rochester is entering this match on Wednesday after tying SUNY Cortland 1-1 and beating SUNY Geneseo 2-0, making them 1-0-1 overall. The team has three leading offensive scorers so far this season all with one goal. Claire Grover leads the team with most shots (6) and most shots on goal (2) so far this season.
