Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport women's basketball team is at home this weekend for two conference matchups. Brockport hosts New Paltz at 5:30pm on Friday and then Oneonta at 2pm on Saturday.
Last Time Out: Brockport dropped to 7-7 overall and 4-3 in the conference after a 81-50 loss to Cortland. The Red Dragons led from start to finish in the contest.
Juan Brown led the Green and Gold with 11 points, eight rebounds, and three blocks.
Stephanie Jean-Baptiste had 10 points, scoring double-digits for the fifth straight game.
Shannon Blankenship chipped in with 10 points, five boards, and a pair of steals.
Zairea Hannah grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds in the contest.
Conference Picture: Entering the weekend, the Golden Eagles are 4-3 in SUNYAC competition. This puts them at sixth in the conference standings at this point in the season. Scouting New Paltz: New Paltz is currently undefeated in conference play at 6-0 and has won seven straight for a 10-3 record overall. #4 Brianna Fitzgerald leads the way for the Hawks, averaging 12.8 points and 7.8 rebounds a game.
Looking at Oneonta: The Red Dragons are 9-4 overall and 4-2 in the SUNYAC heading into the weekend. They most recently fell to New Paltz, 48-35, on the road. #21 Meg Nardelli is the leading scorer, averaging 10.1 points per game.
