Plattsburgh, NY – The SUNY Brockport men's basketball team remains at the top of the conference standings after winning its seventh game in a row Friday night. Brockport defeated Plattsburgh, 81-63, to improve to 14-3 overall and 9-1 im SUNYAC play.
 
David Grady III was nearly unstoppable on the night, matching his season-high with 23 points to go with 12 rebounds. He notches his third double-double of the year, while shooting 11-for-15 from the field. Grady also chipped in elsewhere with three assists, three blocks, and a steal.
 
Tony Arnold matched his teammate with a double-double of his own, racking up 11 points and 10 boards. Mekhi Beckett finished with 14 points on the night for the Green and Gold. Jahidi Wallace also hit double figures with 12 points.
 
The Golden Eagles got things going early in the game, jumping out to a double-digit lead in the first half. They were ahead, 20-7, before Plattsburgh went on a run to close the gap. Keeping the game close, the Cardinals eventually tied the score up at 35-35 with 2:50 left in the half. Brockport fought to edge out a 3-point lead at the break.
 
As the second half began, Plattsburgh continued to fight Brockport to make it a tight game. However, the Green and Gold would recreate the double-digit lead at 58-47 with 13:45 on the clock. Although the Cardinals battled, the Golden Eagles would hold onto a 15-point lead in the final minute. They remain undefeated in road games this season at 7-0, beating Plattsburgh by 18 points.
 
Brockport is back on the road Saturday for another conference matchup against Potsdam at 4pm.
