Fitzpatrick's Brace Leads Brockport to, 3-0, Road Victory

Fredonia, NY – Wednesday night the Brockport Golden Eagles hit the road to face off against Fredonia. The final score, a convincing 3-0 win in favor of the Golden Eagles over the Blue Devils.

The game kicked off with an air of anticipation, and the first half saw both teams eager to assert their dominance. It was Josh Fitzpatrick who drew first blood for Brockport, finding the back of the net at the 23:28 mark. Fitzpatrick's goal was a testament to his clinical finishing, and he owed a debt of gratitude to Giovanni Cardona for a pinpoint assist that set him up beautifully.

The home crowd was silenced, and the momentum was clearly on Brockport's side. The team continued to press forward. Goalkeeper Andrew Taylor made a pair crucial saves to keep his team in the lead, displaying his brilliance between the posts. Taylor's work in net kept the squad ahead, 1-0, at halftime.

As the second half began, the Golden Eagles were determined to build on their lead. They succeeded when Sean Lee delivered another goal, with a perfectly timed strike at the 58:57 mark. This time, it was Max Voyer who provided the assist, allowing Lee to capitalize on the opportunity.

The hero of the day was none other than Josh Fitzpatrick, who secured his brace in the 74th minute. Russ Domm's brilliant pass found Fitzpatrick in the perfect position, and he made no mistake in finding the back of the net for the second time in the match.

Throughout the game, Andrew Taylor made three total saves and recording his fifth shutout of the season. His impressive performance in front of the goal was pivotal in maintaining Brockport's clean sheet on the road.

As the final whistle blew, the Brockport Golden Eagles celebrated their well-earned victory. The team's overall record now stands at an impressive 7-2-4, and their undefeated streak in SUNYAC play continues with a record of 4-0-2.

Brockport is on the road again Saturday for a 1pm matchup with #11 Cortland.
