Cortland, NY – On Saturdy the Golden Eagle men's soccer team battled No. 11 Cortland on the road in a key conference matchup. Each team came away with a point in the SUNYAC standings after playing to a 1-1 draw.

Brockport remains undefeated in conference play at 4-0-3 to go with a 7-2-5 overal record. With the tie Cortland moves to 11-2-2 overall and 5-1-1 in the SUNYAC.

Playing with a man-up advantage the Golden Eagles would find the equalizer before halftime. Andy Cespedes was assisted by Sean Lee on the goal at 32:50 to make it a 1-1 score heading into the break.

Cortland was able to fend of the Green and Gold on each scoring opportunity in the second half. Brockport earned four corner kick chances in the final 45 minutes, but goalie Jordan Ott was there to prevent any more scoring.

Andrew Taylor also did his job well in net for the Golden Eagles to keep the game deadlocked at 1-1. He made three saves in a full 90-minute shift between the posts.
