Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Golden Eagles Shutout Houghton for 3rd Straight Win

Houghton, NY – The SUNY Brockport men's soccer team took care of business on the road Tuesday night, defeating Houghton 4-0. Brockport has now won three in a row for an overall record of 6-2-3 to go with a 3-0-1 mark in the SUNYAC.

Entering the game without a score on the season, Max Voyer changed that with a pair of goals on the night. Chuck Domm and Warren Banks both scored as well, while Evan Stevely and Brady Reinagel had one assist each.

It was Domm who got the party started on Tuesday. He was assisted by Stevely to put the Golden Eagles up 1-0 just 10:55 into the match. The Highlanders fired four shots in the first half, but Trevor Clark was ready to keep them off the board.

Brockport outshot the opponent, 8-4, in the first 45 minutes. Voyer capitalized on one of his first half opportunities. He scored at the 32:58 mark, assisted by Reinagel, to make it a 2-0 lead for the Green and Gold. Just before halftime, Banks added a third to Brockport's tally with his first score of the year.

Facing a 3-0 deficit in the second half, the Houghton Highlanders needed a big turnaround. However, Voyer would add another goal for some further cushion for the Golden Eagles. His unassisted score at 49:06 created the final, 4-0.

Trevor Clark made his Brockport debut in the match, playing the full 90 minutes. He picked up his first win, making five saves and recording a shutout.

The Golden Eagles are back home for Homecoming Weekend on Saturday, as they play New Paltz at 12pm.
