Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer Earns a Draw at Home Against New Paltz

Brockport, N.Y- The Brockport Men's Soccer team earned a hard-fought 0-0 draw at home against New Paltz on Saturday, October 7th. Brockport moved to 6-2-4 overall and 3-0-2 in SUNYAC play following the draw.

The Hawks looked to open the scoring early, but not before goalie Andrew Taylor made the first of his 7 saves early in the first, denying Philip Varner's scoring chance 7 minutes into the contest.

Russ and Chuck Domm found scoring chances midway through the first, both stopped by New Paltz goalie Christian Micheli.

Both defenses controlled the majority of the second half until New Paltz applied pressure in the final 5 minutes. Andrew Taylor would make two game-saving stops in the final 4 minutes, denying Thomas O'Neill and Joseph Dipreta of New Paltz to give Brockport a well-earned SUNYAC point.

Russ Domm led the Golden Eagles in the contest in shots on goal (2) and shot attempts (3), with Josh Fitzpatrick and Chuck Domm chipping in with a shot on goal each.

Andrew Taylor went the distance for the Green and Gold, adding 7 saves in a shutout effort.

Up Next: The Golden Eagles will head to Fredonia for a conference clash under the lights on Wednesday, October 11 at 7 p.m.
