Brockport, NY – The Golden Eagles blew out Buffalo State, 99-68, for the win to celebrate Senior Day. They close out the regular season at 19-6 overall and 14-4 in the conference to earn the No. 2 seed for the SUNYAC Tournament.

Prior to the game the team took time to honor its senior class in a short ceremony. Davonte Jones, Tyler Cowie, Jahidi Wallace, David Grady III, and JJ Jerebko were all recognized.

Cowie took part in the celebration with a team-high 15 points, eight rebounds, and two blocks. He went 6-for-10 from the field, shooting 3-for-6 from long range. Tony Arnold had another good outing with 13 points and eight boards of his own.

It was all Brockport right from the start of the game as the team went up 15-5 less than six minutes into the first half. The team would lead by double-digits for the majority of the half and blew the game wide open before the break. The Golden Eagles headed into halftime up 52-24 over the Bengals.

Buffalo State was unable to cut into the deficit at all throughout the second half, as the big day for Brockport continued. The second half saw the largest lead of the game, as the Green and Gold were up by 33 points with five minutes to play. The squad cruised through the finish line for the 99-68 win.

With the No. 2 seed, the Golden Eagles have earned a first-round bye for the SUNYAC Tournament. They await the winner of No. 6 Geneseo and No. 3 Cortland in the SUNYAC Semifinals, hosted by No. 1 Oswego.
