Auburndale, FL – The SUNY Brockport Baseball team fell 8-0 to Stockton University on Thursday afternoon at Lake Myrtle.
Brockport started the game with a hit in the first from
Johnny Genau with a single.
Stockton scored their first two runs in the bottom of the first.
In top of the third
Nicholas Pastore hit a triple, sending him almost all the way around. The next batter's strike out was the third of the inning, not being able to bring Pastore home.
Stockton scored two more runs in the bottom of the third.
In the top of the fourth
Zach Eldred reached first on a passed ball.
Ryan Mansell reached first by an error on the second basemen and advanced to second. Zach advanced to third.
Justin Pangburn got walked when the next batter struck out, leaving three batters on base.
Stockton scored two more runs in the bottom of the fourth.
In the top of the sixth Eldred singled.
David Belsito singled after him, and Eldred advanced to third on a passed ball.
Stockton scored their finals two runs in the bottom of the eighth.
Colin Pytlak spent three innings on the mound, makings 75 pitches allowing nine hits and making four strikeouts.
Nick Ianniello spent five innings on the mound makings 69 pitches, three strike outs and only allowing six hits.
Brockport will be back tomorrow afternoon for a 1:30pm game against NYU on field #3 of the Lake Myrtle Sports Complex.
